Hong Kong-based virtual asset manager Pandu has announced that its existing Type I (securities trading) and Type IV (securities advice) regulated businesses have been upgraded with the approval of the Hong Kong Securities Supervision Commission. With immediate effect, Pandu can provide distribution and investment advisory services to funds investing more than 10% in virtual assets.
VanEck announced that its spot Ethereum ETF will be fee-free, mirroring its earlier bitcoin ETF strategy. Matthew Sigel, head of digital asset research at VanEck, said the zero-fee strategy aims to become "the preferred provider of cryptocurrency ETFs" and attract more investors, despite the potential for initial losses.
